Jack Skellington is a fictional character and the protagonist of the animated film *The Nightmare Before Christmas*, which was released in 1993. He resides in Halloween Town and is the town's beloved "Pumpkin King", renowned for his macabre creativity and leadership in orchestrating the annual Halloween celebrations.

Despite his fame, Jack grows weary of the same routine year after year. He longs for something new and different, leading him to stumble upon Christmas Town.
